Follow our journey as independent filmmakers in our new look website.
Welcome, to our new look website for Pallas Pictures. Watch all our previous work and keep up to date with our current projects. Join us as we make independent film and to tell our stories.
Since Pallas Pictures began in 2015 we have made five short films. All of them exploring different techniques and filmmaking styles.
Our sixth and current project, 'Harvest', is our most ambitious independent film project to date. We have learn't a great deal from our first five shorts and now want to push our newest concept as far as possible.
With new ambitions comes a new look website, which we believe will show our work to its full potential and will allow us to share our journey as we create our films and tell our stories. We want people to be able to explore our films and share in our creativity, which is why we have used the stunning Fabrik platform.
Pallas Pictures is underpinned by the desire to tell stories and to share the work of creative and talented people. We want our films to be seen. We want them to be shared. If you really like what you see and want to find out more then don't hesitate to get in touch via our contacts page.
Our latest project, 'Harvest' is the second to feature a CG character and brings to life a dark occult world in the seemingly idyllic world of the Yorkshire countryside. Development on this project has been underway for several months already with hours of 3D work and concept design going into creating, Erthog, the tormented and tortured 'monster' in our rural world of horror.
In the 'Harvest' project pages and here in the blog, you will be able to keep up to date with all the developments of our project, view creative assets and share in our journey as we turn this film from concept to reality.
If you like what you find here then spread it far and wide. Follow us on facebook, twitter and Instagram and become a part of our world. Storytelling has never been more important and the power to emote as storytellers is something we aspire to do.
We live in a world where the ridiculous has become the norm and where it seems it is easier to destroy and belittle than it is to create and inspire. It is our responsibility as humans to tell stories, to fire our own imaginations and that of others, and most of all inspire others to believe in the impossible, the magical and the fantastical. If we can not do that as humans then we reduce ourselves to just beasts of burden.
It remains the quest of Pallas Pictures to never reduce the complex beauty of the world into just its constituent parts, to never forget the poetry within life. We must never lose sight of the “spellbinding planet of imagination whose gravity drew” us to create film in the first place. We want to make film that always remembers the claws that once drew blood from the shoulder of the goddess Pallas Athenae.
Welcome to the world of Pallas Pictures. This is our world. These are our stories. We will reap what we sow.
